Sillies - America's Most Wanton (compilation)
Formed on April 10th 1977, The Sillies kicked it all off with their premiere show in '77 alongside the new MC5 and Destroy All Monsters. Being one of the few bands in Detroit to actually play original music, gigs were scarce. After landing a few shows like the "Hooker's Ball" (a benefit for prostitutes), in 1978 they found an old supper club called "Bookies Club 870" that they morphed into Detroit's first rock nightclub and attracted bands like The Damned, Dead Boys and Johnny Thunders among others.
In 1979 they released their only 7" called "No Big Deal" despite more than half the band leaving just prior to release. In late 1980 they went on tour with Johnny Thunders & The Heartbreakers, at the end of it they saw 4 more members depart. Throughout the years, The Sillies would reunite for a show or two, playing together as recently as 2008.

The 222s - Montreal Punk '78-'81
Spys - Original Punkrock from Canada (1979-1980)
This LP was a collection of the 7", demos from 1979 and some material from the live reunion show in 1995. This was released by Incognito out of Germany who released the awesome "Back to the Front" comps, which are the best sort of KBD type of releases that I have seen. The band was made up of Elad on guitar, Coma Joe on bass, Dave O'Gormanon drums, and Frank Carlone on vocals.

Transplants - Police State: Early Boston Punk, 1976-1979 (US)
This is the definitive archival release of one of Boston's first 70s punk bands, THE TRANSPLANTS. The group formed in 1976 and split up in late 1979. They played local shows in Boston and also did some radio interviews around Massachusetts.
This compilation release is from the only surviving tapes, which were restored professionally. Bacchus Archives presents to you 75 minutes worth of THE TRANSPLANTS home made live and studio tapes. The band had an original take on the 1970's Punk sound and also did a slew of '60s garage covers!
